Visit to District Prison-Jhajjar-Dept of Law

The Department of Law, Jagannath University organized a visit to the District Prison, Jhajjar, Haryana. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shri Amit Attri, graciously elucidated the categorization of prison cells and the respective divisions of inmates within the prison premises. Our students had the invaluable opportunity to explore various facilities within the prison premises, including the Prison Cells, Library, Video Conferencing Room, Mess and Canteen. During the visit, three of our students, Ms. Nikita (BALLB 1st Year), Ms. Anuradha (BALLB 2nd Year), and Mr. Harshit (BALLB 3rd Year), delivered an insightful lecture on the Fundamental Rights of Prisoners and the critical issue of drug abuse among inmates, highlighting its impact on society.
