Authorities of University
Section 21 of the University Act provides the following authorities of the University:
- The Governing Body
- The Board of Management
- The Academic Council

Constitution of the Governing Body
The Governing Body of the University shall consist of the following members, namely: -
- The Chancellor
- The Vice Chancellor
- The Secretary to Government of Haryana, Higher Education Department, or in his absence, Director General Higher Education, Haryana;
- Five persons nominated by the sponsoring body out of whom two shall be eminent educationists;
- One expert of management or technology from outside the University, nominated by the Chancellor;
- One expert of finance, nominated by the Chancellor; and
- The Registrar as Member Secretary

Constitution of the Board of Management
The Board of Management shall consist of the following members, namely: -
- The Vice Chancellor;
- The Secretary to the Government of Haryana, Higher Education Department or in his absence, Director General Higher Education;
- Two members of the Governing Body, nominated by the sponsoring body;
- Three persons, who are not the members of the Governing Body, nominated by the sponsoring body;
- Three persons from amongst the teachers, nominated by the sponsoring body;
- Two teachers, nominated by the Vice Chancellor; and
- The Registrar as Member Secretary.

Constitution of the Academic Council
The Academic Council shall consist of the following, namely: -
- The Vice Chancellor;
- The Deans of Faculties;
- The Head of the Departments/Director of the Institutes;
- Three representatives from amongst the Scientists/Educationists/Technologists/Industrialists nominated by the Chancellor;
- Five Professors / Associate Professors of the University Teaching departments nominated by the Chancellor;
- Three teachers of the University Teaching Departments/Institutes nominated by the Vice Chancellor; and
- The Registrar as a Member Secretary.
