Visit The Supreme Court
75th Samvidhan Diwas
On the occasion of the 75th Constitution Day of India, the Department of Law, organized a visit to the Supreme Court of India on 26th November 2024. This initiative aimed to provide students with a unique opportunity to gain practical insights into the workings of the Supreme Court, the highest judicial institution of India.
During the visit, students had the privilege of witnessing court proceedings in multiple courtrooms of the Supreme Court:
Court No. 3 Presided over by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, the students observed significant discussions on constitutional matters and public interest cases.
Court No. 5 Under the esteemed leadership of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Abhay S. Oka and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih, the students gained insights into the interpretation of legal principles in ongoing cases.
Court No. 8 he proceedings led by Hon’ble Mrs. Justice B.V. Nagarathna and Hon’ble Mr. Justice N. Kotiswar Singh provided the students with a glimpse into judicial reasoning and the application of constitutional provisions.
Court No. 9 The students had the opportunity to observe Hon’ble Mr. Justice C.T. Ravikumar and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Karol handling cases that emphasized the practical aspects of justice delivery.
The visit offered a profound learning experience, enriching the academic and practical understanding of the students. Witnessing the esteemed judges of the Supreme Court of India in action not only deepened their knowledge of legal proceedings but also inspired them to uphold the principles of justice and the rule of law.
