Jagan Nath University, Bahadurgarh, Haryana organized National Conference on Harnessing Renewable Energy Resources for Energy Efficient Homes in rural and urban settings by the Departments of Agriculture and Civil Engineering on November 15, 2019. Prof. H. L. Verma, Vice Chancellor, highlighted that Energy Efficiency of Homes is determined by the design, structure, landscapes and construction materials besides the sources of energy supply. Dr. Rajesh Goyal, Dean, NICMAR, emphasized on green buildings and use of blended construction materials. Dr. S. D. Malik, Innovator of Vedic Plaster, demonstrated that cow dung and rice straw can be used to build energy efficient homes. Prof. R. K. Behl shared that the modern trends in energy efficient homes and that of Vedic times homes be based on the use of natural materials.
